Growing up between South Korea and the United States, I’ve always identified as a liminal being. My sense of belonging in two cultures used to make me feel fragmented and lost; now I feel lucky to experience such a rich, multifaceted life. 

I have over a decade of experience working with prestigious individuals and institutions in the theatre, TV and film industries providing English-Korean translation and cultural consultancy. Some of my clients and collaborators include:

I am not Google Translate. My approach to translation and bilingual/bicultural creative work will always take context into account as well as the objective of the project. I bring my lived experience as a working artist and a bicultural woman to provide accurate, nuanced and efficient Korean-English translation and artistry that serves your creative goals.

My services can be creative, administrative, or a mix of both. My rates are flexible based on your needs and budget, as is my exact role, but here are just some ideas:

• pre-production/development: translation, writing, dramaturgy, research, feedback.

• production/real-time: directing, teaching, interpretation, facilitation, sensitivity support.

• post-production: subtitling, community outreach, marketing/UX localization, feedback.
