How do we describe our own trauma? Articulate our own pain? By examining "comfort women" - a painful piece of Korean history - Moksori/Voice examined larger issues of sexual violence, exploitation and oppression. Derived from real interviews with former comfort women, Korean resistance poetry, firsthand accounts, military documents, online posts and using movement, toy theatre, sensory stimuli and traditional Korean performance techniques, Moksori/Voice is a vivid 50-minute theatrical collage on putting your own nightmares into words.
